The Melnick State of the Economy Index rose by 0.2 percent in September

The September Index indicates a certain increase in the activity of the business sector

The index does not reflect the effect of the war that will begin in the next month’s index

The Melnick State of the Israeli Economy Index increased by 0.2 percent in the month of September 2023. The September index indicates a certain increase in the activity of the business sector. The index does not reflect the effect of the war that will begin in the the next month’s, the month of October.

The components of the September Index include: a 5.5% increase in the industrial production index in August, after a 1.9% increase in July; a 2.3% increase in revenue in commerce and services in August after a 1.5% increase in July; a decrease of 2.2% in the import index in September after a decrease of 1.9% in August; and a 0.6% decrease in the number of employee posts in the business sector in July, after a 0.3% decrease in June.
